Babies 2022
We were excited to have welcomed three beautiful cria this summer.
Late afternoon, just after I’d checked the paddock, on May 21st, Hole Wood Betty-Sue was born. She had popped out without us knowing and was up on her feet and feeding in no time. A big, black cria weighing in at a whopping 10.6kg, and our only female cria this year.
Hole Wood Maverick was next. Born on June 12th this true black boy weighed in at an average 7.7kg, and it was another birth that we missed! These girls waited until we left the paddock. He is happy and healthy, and Betty-Sue was pleased to have a play friend.
The last cria of the year was Hole Wood Hendrix. His birthday is 2nd July and though he was the smallest birthweight this year, 7.5kg, he immediately made his presence very known! Gorgeous and very very cheeky, he’s definitely the clown of the field. A beautiful light fawn and his mama’s mini! This was a birth that finally we got to witness, and though it was extremely nerve wracking, it was truly magical.
